Windley Contracting Ltd. is a widely diverse Development and General Contracting company with its foundation dating back to 1949. Ed Windley started the family owned business with Plumbing and Heating and with steady growth evolved into providing full Mechanical Contracting services in the Residential and Commercial sectors. Rick Windley worked with his father to maintain the company growth, and in 1980 the company initiated a shift in focus and broadened its activities into land acquisition, subdivision and development. Soon the name Windley became recognized as a developer in Nanaimo providing affordable homes as well as more elaborate custom homes. As Rick brought on more diversely experienced associates to his team, it was a natural progression to move into commercial construction and from the early ‘90’s to current, Windley’s portfolio has expanded to include multi-million dollar contracts for institutional, commercial and industrial clients. Assisted Living facilities for seniors providing various levels of care; continue to be part of this growing list. These projects have taken the Windley team to various communities throughout BC.
Windley Contracting Ltd. has also developed a Civil Division and has a large inventory of earthwork equipment in the hands of widely experienced tradesmen. They are executing contracts for various municipalities on Vancouver Island for private and public sector clients.
